Image usage rights.What you can do with your photographs, and what I do with them.
This page covers the photographs you receive as a Ryan Parker Photography headshot client — not the terms of use for browsing this website (see the Terms of Use for that).
Ryan Parker Photography is a business name of Parker Studios Inc. This page is written in the first person because Ryan is the one you dealt with; the licence itself is granted by Parker Studios Inc., which holds the copyright.
Your usage rights
As a headshot client, you’re free to use your final images for personal and professional purposes, including:
- Casting profiles and talent platforms
- LinkedIn, personal websites, and social media
- Business cards, resumes, and professional bios
- Company websites, team pages, and press materials
- Print for personal or professional use (framing, portfolios, submissions, etc.)
What’s not included
Your usage rights don’t extend to:
- Reselling the images, or reprinting them for profit
- Sublicensing the images to a third party for their own commercial use
- Using the images to represent a different person, product, or brand than originally intended
Copyright in the photographs remains with Parker Studios Inc. You’re licensed to use the images as described above — the copyright itself isn’t transferred.
AI and your images
Your headshots can’t be fed into an AI tool to make another version of you — a different outfit, a different background, a different expression, a different face. That includes “enhancing” or restyling a finished image and using the result.
They also can’t be used to train, fine-tune or test an AI or machine-learning system, or uploaded to a service that does. If a company is using its team’s headshots, this applies to the company too.
What you were sent is a photograph of you. Use it as one.
Use by others
These usage rights apply to the client the photos were taken for. If someone other than the client — an employer, agency, publication, or other third party — wants to use the images, please reach out first. Most reasonable requests (e.g. an agency using a client’s headshot on their roster page) are approved quickly; this just makes sure everyone’s on the same page.
How I use your images
I show the work I make. Your images may appear in my portfolio, on this site, in my marketing, and on my social accounts.
If you’d rather I didn’t use a picture of you, tell me and I’ll take it down. No explanation needed, and no fee.

Commercial and editorial work
Commercial and editorial projects are licensed per project, with the usage set out in the project contract rather than on this page.
